Mexico tends to portray itself as exotic and, though it seems harmless, this leads to a strengthening of the national inferiority complex. (Auto)exotismo –(self)exotism– is a project that investigates and speculates this phenomenon in order to propose different reliefs this Mexican vice. Through a short publication, 13 questions are posed to elaborate on the premise, and reach proactive conclusions.

The way in which these questions are answered is through the use of theoretical arguments, but also with basic mathematical logic, diagrams, collages and graphics. This project has an indefinite continuity for the moment, as the search for cases of '(auto)exotismo' continue –and should never stop– being pointed out, to stop the issue.
